It' sad but it's important to remember these are wild animals no matter how familiar you may be with them

My heart goes out to her & her family but I don’t believe those lions should b put down. They’re wild animals and doing what is instinctive to them. By all means have an inquiry into safety issues to prevent this from happening again, but they should not be put down!!

Public servant wage freeze causes unrest in NSW cabinet | Sky News AustraliaGladys Berejiklian’s decision to implement a wage freeze on New South Wales public servants has been likened to former premier Mike Baird’s controversial greyhound industry ban, Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says. \n\nThe NSW Premier announced the freeze on Wednesday, causing discontent within her own party over why essential workers such as police, nurses and teachers were not exempted from the freeze. \n\nMr Clennell said some within cabinet have suggested the NSW government shelve the ANZ Stadium rebuild and the $1.5 billion Powerhouse Museum project to assist with funding concerns. \n\n“Many in cabinet, with speakers including Brad Hazzard and Rob Stokes, could not understand why police, nurses, teachers could not be exempted,” Mr Clennell said. \n\n“They also could not understand why recent senior executive public service increases had recently been granted and could not be reversed.”\n\nSky News understands the proposal will be knocked back in the state’s upper house, with Shooters MP Robert Borsak telling Mr Clennell he would not support it. \n\n“He supports a wage freeze for those on 150k or more, not on those less. Mark Latham, the One Nation MP, also agrees that frontline workers should be exempt,” he said. \n\n“Berejiklian’s view is that where do you draw the line. What is frontline? Is it also ambos, fireys, DOCS workers?\n\n“But she has risked making herself the villain here by effectively cutting nurses and police’s salaries when she could have exempted some frontline and the public would have welcomed this” aclennell Public (socialist monster) 'servants' are gonna get smashed (along with every other middle class sheep) when the hyper inflation arrives! Gladys knows and obviously thinks it is so funny. Appalling false COVID propaganda. Home detention for all. No shower at gym. Wealth stolen! aclennell What about the fact that some 'negotiations' have been going on since before the 'rona. If they didn't have to fight tooth and nail to get what's owed, they'd already have it. aclennell Sorry, 2.5% wage freeze is bugger all and not a notable difference to anyone. There are a lot of people with no job. Once China gets a stranglehold on us we will be working for $5 a day. Get the economy strong and work towards independence.

NSW govt dealing 'unfairly with the bush' | Sky News AustraliaShooters, Fishers and Farmers party leader Robert Borsak says his party is not prepared to support the government’s proposed wage freeze for public sector workers. \n\nNSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian defended the move which could see up to 400,000 public workers undergo a wage freeze in a bid to stimulate the economy amid the coronavirus crisis. \n\nMr Borsak told Sky News that the party was “not convinced [government] would deal fairly with the bush”. \n\n“We weren’t convinced that creating jobs in Sydney by making these cuts would be better than allowing the public servants living in the bush to spend the money in the communities where the cash can be circulated and is needed,” he said. \n\n“Any money that’s spent by government in these circumstances has got to be seen to be stimulus money, that’s what it’s all about and taking that money to the centre, as the treasurer wants to do, I don’t think that actually conforms.\n\n“Government doesn’t create jobs, demand creates jobs and that’s what we want to see happen.” \n

Public sector wage freeze is the 'least worst' option for NSW | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has defended her government's proposal to freeze pay increases for up to 400,000 public sector workers - including health workers - saying it was the 'least worst' option for the state.\n\n'This is not a good option for us, but it is the least worst option,' she said. \n\nMs Berejiklian pointed to the Labor governments in Queensland and Victoria who had also implemented some variation of the policy.\n\n'All states are going through the same thing; The national government is going through the same thing.'\n\n'I appreciate the challenge it brings, but I ask people to consider the options before us because our government does have to make difficult decisions if this doesn't get through.'\n\nThe premier was unwilling to outline how her government would proceed if the proposal was voted down.\n\nNSW Labor and the cross-bench have already indicated they would reject the proposal.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia GladysB Work Choices. NSW govt met with backlash over public sector pay freeze | Sky News AustraliaThe New South Wales government is trying to win support for its public sector pay-rise freeze. \n\nThe decision – which would see 400,000 public servants go without a pay-rise for 12 months - was met with a wave of criticism when announced on Wednesday. \n\nNSW Opposition leader Jodi McKay said the move would be a “punch in the guts” for those who worked on the frontline throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. \n\nState Treasurer Dominic Perrottet said the move was vital if New South Wales was to save current jobs in the public sector and create new jobs in the private sector. \n\nThe move, if successful, would come with the guarantee there would be no forced redundancies in the public sector other than senior executives. \n\nThe proposal, which would save an estimated $3 billion, will be reliant on support in the Upper House. Many have had NO PAY for three months & they'd have to pay for it. Anyone who aposes this shows their total disregard for struggling taxpayers at the hands of government mismanagement, sack anyone who does. Suffering for their art: creative accounting!?
