Yuendumu residents returned to the police station where they had waited to hear the fate of Kumanjayi Walker on Saturday night, to conduct a ceremony following his death.

Women wailed and a crowd chanted"justice for Walker" on Tuesday evening as Yuendumu residents marched back to the police station where a 19-year-old man shot by an officer died at the weekend.

Residents held banners reading"Black Lives Matter" and"We Stand with Walker" as they stood where they had waited for news about Kumanjayi Walker's condition on Saturday night. Police officers stood by the station's front doors as community members then moved in with leafy branches used to ceremonially"sweep" the site.

Senior Warlpiri elder Warren Japanangka Williams said the relatives had been unable to perform the important ritual after Kumanjayi's death on Saturday."That way everybody gets a chance, they know they've gone through a ceremonial process." Outside, the walls of the police station became covered with blood-red hand prints in a statement Mr Williams said was organised by some of the community's young people.

Hong Kong protester shot at close range by police as chaos erupts across cityLive broadcasts on Facebook show a Hong Kong police officer shooting a protester at close range, amid clashes. They need to use tasers and sprays, not guns. Shootings are attempted murder, those police officers ought to be charged. hkpoliceforce Take the guns off of them. Obviously they don't know when to use them. Protesters don't have guns thus police ought to carry batons, sprays. The Socialists at the ABC must be thinking to themselves how lucky they are to not live in a Communist nation.. the irony I support the democracy movement in HK 100% but if a person is stupid enough to try & get a gun off a cop, & that is clearly what they did do, then they should not be surprised if the cop assumes that they intend to use it on them. i.e. Nasty situation but clearly self defence.

Graphic footage shows Hong Kong police shooting protester at close rangeDramatic footage shows a police officer waving his gun and shooting an apparently unarmed protester in the stomach with a live bullet. 'apparently' is the wrong choice of word when the video evidence is all over the net. Gut shot is only from despicable cowards. Most agonising bullet wound bar none. Apparently unarmed?
