Senior police in the Northern Territory have travelled to a remote Indigenous community to urge calm after officers shot a teenager dead at the weekend.

Police attended a critical incident at Yuendumu - a remote Indigenous community near Alice Springs - about 7pm on Saturday when a 19-year-old man was shot by officers.

The teenager allegedly lunged at a police officer armed and stabbed him with a pair of scissors before he was fatally shot. A coronial investigation and an internal police investigation are underway. Image: News Corp Australia

And he got shot, of course, for no other reason than being aboriginal.

The government should pull all resources from these 3rd world communities. Leave them be.

Sounds like they did nothing wrong

Stop committing crimes then you won’t get shot. Attack the police expect them to defend themselves.
