The JobTrainer package comes from a government that has a very poor record with employment, says Deputy Labor Leader RichardMarlesMP.

The JobTrainer package comes from a government that has a very poor record with employment, says Deputy Labor Leader Richard Marles. The federal government announced its $2 billion JobTrainer scheme on Thursday - with the states to provide up to $500 million - to support out-of-work Australians during the pandemic period.

“You’d forgive us for being a little skeptical about the government’s bona fides here,” Mr Marles told Sky News. “It’s a government that has cut $3 billion out of this sector since its come to office, where we have 140,000 less apprentices and trainees. "We are talking about a government who in exactly this space over the last seven years has brought on an enormous amount of damage.

The trick is not to stimulate businesses but to get money moving through them and that is customers ajamesbragg The mistake liberals make is being in the pocket of businesses. Tax reductions to businesses do not create jobs and do not result in growth or investment. Stimulus that is linked directly to new job creation and new businesses creation directly create jobs
