Extreme weather kills at least one person in Japan and more than 100 in Afghanistan while parts of China hit record low temperatures

and the Korean peninsula have issued warnings over freezing temperatures and gales that have killed at least one person, and stranded thousands.

The Japan meteorological agency has said that some parts of the country could see their lowest temperatures for 10 years, and warned that the cold snap would continue until Thursday, with blizzards and violent winds expected along the Japan Sea coast. Subzero temperatures are expected Wednesday morning in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost main island, and as far south as Kyushu. The mercury could drop to -3C in Tokyo and -2C in the western city of Osaka.

The website quoted North Korea’s central radio broadcaster as saying that temperatures in the north of the country could dip below -30 C. In the capital, Pyongyang, the temperature was -19C early Wednesday, well below average for this time of the year, NK News added.

Japan faces record low birth rateJapan’s Prime Minister has warned his country must take urgent steps to address its declining birth rate. Speaking at the opening session of Parliament, Fumio Kishida says Japan is “on the cusp” of its ability to maintain its functions amid its biggest population decline. The country saw its lowest-ever birth rate in 2021, compounded by a rapidly ageing population, with more than a quarter of residents over 65. Who in their right mind, would want to bring a baby, into this world, where Governments choices for your child, are more important than parents, and those same politicians are promoting the sexualisation of our children? This is a sick world. Cure the sickness, FIRST! Why. Surely, a low population is better. As long as it’s not importing problems like other western countries have Japan will be ok.
