It's only difficult if you make it so.

Difficult a holiday difficult 🤔

It can’t be the date, it’s only that it’s called Australia Day surely, nothing happened on 26th January related to Captain Cook or the First Fleet arriving, so changing the date won’t satisfy anybody

Only because peoplei the media and politicians keep banging on about it and shame people into believing it is and that they should be- just stop & MAGA !!!

Happy Australia Day everyone

Why because nothing is open...?

Some people just need to get over themselves . I am sure our convict ancestors did in a timely fashion and started to make a new life inn a new world ...So sick of all this carry on

But it’s a great day for many others. Why is pride and patriotism in Country always so readily & consistently the target for destruction?

Wanker

I for one am grateful this land was revealed to the world. Should we ever get to celebrate that or forever be miserable that some bad shit happened that no one alive today had anything to do with?

Do you think the people of Ukraine will be celebrating the day Russia invaded their country in years to come? Yet, here we are 🤷🏻‍♂️ changethedate

Difficult to enjoy this country and be grateful?

The young man at an Aboriginal rally spewing hatred was wearing a t-shirt with the Aboriginal flag on it & a hand gun plastered in the centre of the flag. This is the voice!

No difficulty here. Celebrating.

It's weird how all these lefties don't give their land back to the aboriginal people and leave the country. It's like they're all massive hypocrites and lack the courage of their convictions or something.

I'm comfortable with it

Tell them to toughen up.

This is easy. Have two public holidays for AustraliaDay. Celebrate today for those who want the true date to remain, and do it again for those who want a different day. We get to celebrate Australiaday twice. AustralianoftheYear

If you call 26%, many I guess so. We could just leave the date alone and call the other 364 days invasion day just so we can stop talking about this every year.

Australians urged to ditch ‘tough on crime’ mindset for youth justice as it does not workAs Queensland cracks down on young offenders, experts fear ill-informed public sentiment is influencing policy RichardHanania sadly this 'let the criminals free' mindset is not confined to the US. One of the youths charged with the murder of Emma Lovell stabbed a lawyer in August 2021 and yet was in the community in December 2022. There are many similar cases where the community is not protected from violent offenders. How can that be justified? love the RNJWs in the replies think this means not punishing people; it actually means stopping people becoming repeat offenders by removing all their prospects for future life You want to take away these people's prospects? you have to accept a higher crime rate. theyre linked

Voice is the ‘vehicle’ to get ‘better practical outcomes’ for Indigenous AustraliansThe Voice to Parliament is a “vehicle” for getting “better practical outcomes” for Indigenous Australians, says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. “To close the gap, which is there in health, in education, in housing, in life expectancy, in justice outcomes,” he told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Mr Albanese said the programs that are “most effective” are those which have involved and have the ownership of Indigenous Australians themselves. … except it is Local and State Governments that have the most impact on their lives, not Federal, so it’s another waste of time. Only it's not. The Prime Miniature should get it into his thick little head that anything said/done along racial lines is, by definition, racist. He needs to find some other, legitimate way of currying favour. Why wait then? It can be legislated for asap. We don't need a referendum for that...unless the referendum is the whole point.

Australians ‘should be able to celebrate Australia Day’Sky News Contributor Katherine Deves says even if the date of Australia Day is changed, people “will still be complaining.” “No matter what date we choose, they won’t be happy,” Ms Deves told Sky News host Cory Bernardi. “We just want … to celebrate that we live in this great country. “We should be able to celebrate Australia Day.” Why do you keep going on and on about Australia day? Is your end game total division of our country? This could very well be seen as incitement. What is the population of Germanic people in Australia , 88% of that 3% is feral to native & woke bullshit , saying 85% is for JANUARY 26TH with feral media reporting of far right and left Silent majority rules with Australian people Yes, that’s right. You can’t please all people. A stand must be made and that’s it.

Australians shouldn’t be ‘ashamed for wanting to celebrate’ Australia DaySky News Contributor Katherine Deves says Australians shouldn’t be “ashamed for wanting to celebrate” a day about Australia. “We are a very functional country, we're multi-faith, we're multicultural,” Ms Deves told Sky News host Cory Bernadi. I'm not ashamed. I am proud to Celebrate Australia Day on the 26th Jan Well don’t be. No one is forcing you to be ashamed. This suggests you are the victim. Why not pause and look at this from a different angle. Is there room for empathy from some special Australians who have a genuine reason to look at 26th very differently? Never ashamed I became an Aussie on Australia Day 40 yrs ago , built business , provided jobs , paid lots tax , greatest country in the world & no socialist will tear it apart
