Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan urges Liberal leader John Pesutto to maintain bipartisan support for the state's Treaty process.

Jacinta Allan has told reporters she wants there to be continued bipartisan support for Victoria's Treaty after the opposition confirmed internal discussions were underway about its stance on the next steps in the process.Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan said she"really hopes" Liberal leader John Pesutto does not oppose any further progress on the state's Treaty process.

Picture: NCA NewsWire / Luis Enrique Ascui The LNP in Queensland pulled its support for the state's path to Treaty last month after more than 68 per cent of the voters in the Sunshine State voted 'no' in the referendum.Mr Pesutto told Sky News Australia last week the opposition's support for the Victorian Treaty authority remained unchanged.

However, Mr Pesutto confirmed internal discussions were underway in light of the referendum about how the opposition approaches the next steps in the Treaty process.
