A dozen towns in northern Italy have effectively gone into lockdown after the deaths of two people infected with the coronavirus and a growing cluster of cases

.

Workers wearing protective gears spray disinfectant against the new coronavirus in front of a church in Daegu, South Korea, where dozens of cases are linked to one church.Hundreds of residents and workers who came into contact with 54 people who tested positive for the virus in Italy were put into isolation pending results of their tests. Civil protection crews set up a tent camp outside a closed hospital in Veneto to screen medical staff for the virus.

In Rome, doctors at the Spallanzani infectious disease hospital treating the first three people in Italy found to be infected with the virus - a Chinese couple from Wuhan and an Italian who contracted the virus in China - reported encouraging news in the otherwise bleak day. Tochigi prefecture's governor Tomikazu Fukuda said the woman tested negative for the virus on February 15, four days before she got off the ship with her husband, with neither showing any symptoms at the time.Despite strong doubts raised from inside and outside the country, Japanese health ministry officials have insisted that any passengers who completed the 14-day quarantine, tested negative for the virus and showed no symptoms had nearly zero risk of becoming a virus patient.

He said the 23 were tested before the quarantine began on February 5, but were allowed to leave the ship on Wednesday and Thursday without being tested again.Kato said officials have tracked all 23 passengers down and asked them to self- quarantine at home for 14 days.

Not only does ScottMorrisonMP need to extend the ban indefinitely, but start considering a ban on other countries....the ones that didn’t restrict travel and are now experiencing outbreaks of their own. Lifting the ban now will end this government. Let’s see how greedy you are?

Nah but bring the students over because universities need cash
