The Pentagon issues an apology after admitting a US drone strike in Kabul last month killed 10 civilians, including seven children.

A US drone strike in Kabul last month killed as many 10 civilians, including seven children, a senior US general says. The US previously said the drone targeted IS-K suicide bombersFamily accounts suggest Zemerai Ahmadi's car was struck by a Hellfire missile just as he pulled into the driveway.

He added that he believed it unlikely the vehicle hit or those who died were Islamic State militants or posed a direct threat to US forces at Kabul's airport. The Pentagon announced a review revealing only civilians were killed in the attack, not an Islamic State extremist as first believed."We now assess that it is unlikely that the vehicle and those who died were associated with ISIS-K, or a direct threat to US forces," he added, referring to the Islamic State group's Afghanistan affiliate.

For USA its mistake , for everyone else is “ barbaric , inhuman, terrible , unacceptable “ .. BLAH , BLAH , BLAH …… any surprises. ? I think not .

Eggs omelettes etc

shocking!

fedram67 It wasn't any mistake. It's the norm for US army 🤨

Like used the old map again when they bombarded Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia 1999?

Everyday a new crime!

At least they own up and admitted it was a mistake unlike the PLA & CCP where total news blackout and data sanitization is the norm. Tianemen Square 1989?

Have any visitors (civilian) been killed in Afghanistan? I like to know all the facts.

Ironically the US government criticized others over human rights all the time….

No one will be held responsible, move on , they were only afghans , it could’ve happened to any body , don’t you understand how our team that ordered this strike are feeling , some of them haven’t been eating properly , one is on paid sick leave . That’s how they’re treating this

Admitting now that public knew weeks ago. You killed the family of person who was translator ... imagine killing 2 years old daughter ....

It's a crime. The war was over. Someone deliberately targeted these people and killed them.

It's long past time that we realised our best friend in the whole wide world is in a fact a psychopath and we should probably have them sectioned.

Fitting that the last US action in Afghanistan was to kill civilians, and we’ve just signed up for more wars with the Aukus deal. About time we stopped fighting wars that have nothing to do with us to appease the yanks and get votes for the LNP

lol

Bidens Failure in Afghanistan “A victory for jihadists”

It was another warcrime to add to the many perpetrated by the US, which they have yet to answer for!
