Juhi Sachdev’s money has almost run out.

Hospitality student Juhi Sachdev, from Kolkata, has had her world thrown upside down by the pandemic.“We would do banquets or weddings – it was amazing,” says Sachdev, who worked with 16 other chefs.LoadingShe signed a permanent part-time contract with the hotel in January 2020. In March, they stood everyone down and then in August the hotel sacked everyone.Sachdev comes from Kolkata, where more than 3000 people have died from coronavirus.

One by one, Sachdev’s friends who were overseas students lost their jobs. All of them were paying a local training institute for a qualification and were appalled at the lack of help offered by the Australian government. “But eventually I had to ask for money from my parents. I didn’t want to. We have a travel agency business, so that was terribly affected. But luckily they had some savings they were able to lend me.”

AmyRemeikis then she should go home

The sense of entitlement is our problem, some expect to get support and others do whatever they can to avoid having to access support. My mate got a job during the pandemic at Coles, cleaning, so that he didn’t have to rely on JobSeeker. People are lazy.

So, I thought Australia had so many unemployed blah blah... why the heck isn’t an Australian being TRAINED as a pastry chef? wtf

Ah well head back home to study

Not suprsing with a White government only looking after their own rather than us Blackfellas. This capitulation has been going on since they conquered us natives of colour in the Indo-Pacific from their Traditional Land of Europe of Whitefellas only!

Is she an Australian citizen? Time she went back to India. Australians need our own jobs now.

But the PM & a lot of his cabinet are good Christians. We know how much they care there are 2 children locked up on Christmas Island for 3 years.

That’s how the Federal Government works They don’t like helping anyone

Do we need to buy steel and tools from China? 🤣 steel manufacturing business employment The govt knows it will cost a million dollars for each soul to build quarantine facilities; so we just hold off hoping it will go away and spend the money on the defence budget. So who are we borrowing from? Do Farmers realise there are 780,000 unemployed people, and millions more underemployed people, right here in Australia? Farmers just need to get off their behinds and pay market clearing wages & conditions rather than pushing for imported slave labour.
