It did have to be that way. Holden as a brand was as antiquated as Wolseley and Morris and Austin. 2nd rate cars that hadn't moved on in quality or technology, i.e. American.

164 years... is that correct? Thought the first car invented was around 1890?

Good grief ABC, I know you're rather fond of hyperbole, but 164 years! I must have missed a few models there somewhere along the way. Holden FordSh%t ABC 🤣😂🤣😂😷

If you go in to battle with a crap lineup in a competitive market, bad things will happen. Even the Colorado and Trailblazer were being outsold by the vehicles they’re based on.

Same old story. Major organisation too big to change with the speed of the times 🚀. Too much bureaucracy.

Globalists infiltrated both major parties in Australia & developed really bad “Free Trade” Agreements that exported all our manufacturing jobs to Asia. Trump is reversing the crap deals Obama et al did. ScoMo could do the same if he had the intestinal fortitude. WalkAway

Well, we got to make up for the lost $$ I think axing the biased ABC is the best bet to save $10billion every 10yrs

The rot started when the Labor Party allowed Ford & Mitsubishi to go under their watch.

164 years, sure. Must have missed that bit about the Holden cars whizzing around the goldfields.

Holden to be pulled from sale by 2021The iconic Australian car brand Holden is being axed after decades making and selling cars such as the Commodore, Astra and Barina. Thanks Joe Hockey and the Liberals. You’ve lost an industry for no gain but less tax the last vestiges of the local car and related components industry, and technical skills associated with it, which was so completely screwed over by Tony Abbott. But (soon to be automated anyway) mining jobs? Australians to Holden - 😒🖕🏻
