‘It certainly woke us up’: Surfers compensated for unequal prize money following backlash

“I hope this is putting people on notice and showing people you can’t just do this and get away with it,” she said.

She's doing the 'same work' but she's less proficient & would attract fewer sponsors. Great women novelists get what they deserve re sales of their books; negotiating ability counts with both sexes. Female pornstars get more money than male pornstars - they attract more viewers.
