South Australia is known as the festival state, but an acclaimed theatre director believes an overreliance on big events is having a detrimental impact.

"Traditionally, we've been a state that is all about makers, and all about generating work that has a long life, instead of being a touring hub for other people's work."

"I'm a great fan of cathedral thinking — the decisions that we make now will impact our future environments and communities," he said. "You'll have clarity about a vision, what the priority areas are, some issues and recommendations that the Government will consider to bring this plan to life," he said.Corey McMahon worked in Sydney and London before returning to Adelaide in 2012 and setting up theatre company Theatre Republic.

'Vile' racism scrawled on Aboriginal Greens candidate's posterAn election poster for an Aboriginal elder running for a Senate spot in SA is defaced with words calling for the death of Indigenous people. I’ll fix the headline for you ‘vile racist comment scrawled on greens poster by own party to drum up sympathy and support and to further divide the nation’ Well that just endorses his campaign doesn't it. Probably done by one of the Greens in order to confect a story so that they could get free publicity for him, otherwise it is just the work of one nasty troll and not newsworthy at all.

Whistleblower nurse backs refugee's claims about life in detentionAn Iranian refugee is suing the Federal Government over his treatment in immigration detention in WA and SA, with court documents including claims from other asylum seekers and a psychiatric nurse. truth will out as they say. The LNP can't keep this shit under wraps forever. And yet my fellow Australians continue to support the actions and lies of politicians by allowing this to happen in their name. We should ALL be ashamed. We should not be so worried about refugees if Liberals are spending 1600$ for each refuge, food , health and so on is not included in 1600$ is only to baby seat each gefuge. Or maybe all those taxpayers money is deposited in Cayman Island 🌴 safe haven for Liberals.
