Sky News host Chris Kenny says interventions in the New South Wales abortion debate made by former prime minister Tony Abbott and former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce don’t help.

On Sunday Mr Abbott dubbed the proposed abortion laws “infanticide on demand” at an anti-abortion rally while Mr Joyce said the issue was “the slavery debate of our time”. “Most of us, surely, can understand their position, but this sort of invective in this debate cannot help anyone,” Mr Kenny said. Tony Abbott, declaring himself a 'free man' since losing his seat, told an anti-abortion protest in Sydney that the NSW decriminalisation bill was 'a licence for sex-selection abortions' Stru Tony, you didn’t get in so we don’t have to hear your shit anymore Here is a man who professes public service and yet at every opportunity has lied to further his ideology. Tony Abbott warns West faces 'extinction' crisis, praises Hungary's far-right leaderFormer PM Tony Abbott warns Western nations face an extinction crisis if they don't have more children. So, he doesn't like identity politics on the left, yet here he is in broad daylight partaking in identity politics? If Abbott and his ilk represent western civilisation, I'm happy to see it wound up for good. This might be a shock to Abbott's supporters but a chihuahua and a wolf are the same species. They can produce fertile offspring after they have sex. Humans are a globally distributed, phenotypically varied species of Hominid. Phenotype does not separate the species necessarily!
