To be caught up in China's 'residential surveillance' prison system is to disappear. Suspects can be detained for six months without charge, without a court's permission, and sometimes without their family knowing their whereabouts.

China is expanding the use of a little-known form of extra-judicial detention that allows police to exclude lawyers and cut suspects off from the outside world, with a new report saying it is being used in thousands of cases each year.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation is a media that discriminates against Chinese, so how much of its news is true?

Why is the abc so anti authoritarianism on China but so pro it in australia

Witness K, Bernard Colliery.

I had no idea that China would use tactics similar to those of the Guantanamo jailers. Does China use shocks like the US government on the CIA's Black Sites?

same as in the US but no reports on that?

. What about Australia's secret jails... . auspol

Gosh, is this the 1949 BBC broadcasting anti North Korean propaganda? Or perhaps the 1955 Reader's Digest publishing anti Russian propaganda? Or it could be the 1967 ABC telling us about the atrocities of Ho chi Minh?

Top UN official seeks China visit to investigate human rights abuse allegations against Uighurs in XinjiangMichelle Bachelet is under growing pressure from some countries to secure unfettered access to Xinjiang, where activists say more than a million Uighurs and other Turkic Muslims have been mistreated or subject to forced labour. A bit laughable given China has power of veto over any resolution. Also a little laughable is human rights atrocity committed casually by Islamic regimes under the protection of religious freedoms all but ignored by the UN with the exception of some intermittent damming reports. And yet United Nations are still not allowed to visit West Papua for 60 years! WestPapuaGenocide FreeWestPapua United Nations are very selective in where they look for human rights abuses.
