India has opened one of the world's largest hospitals to help fight COVID-19 in New Delhi, with enough cardboard beds for 10,000 patients.

India is deploying thousands of beds made of cardboard to makeshift medical facilities as it struggles to deal with the surging number of coronavirus cases.

Mumbai, which like the capital has seen its hospitals overwhelmed by COVID-19 patients, is also using them. Mattresses for the beds are supplied by Sheela Foam Limited which teamed up with the Dhawan brothers earlier this year. The Dhawan brothers have not publicly revealed the price tag of making each bed, but it reportedly costs around $A14.50 .Once the coronavirus epidemic is over, they see a market for their product.

Is this a joke? How many children die in India every day from diarrhea from poor sanitation and lack of clean water. I think they have bigger problems. Trash journalism.

India does a better job than US....

Notwithstanding the reasons for the need that's rather brilliant!
