Last year when Four Corners gave notice of the Canberra Bubble story to the offices of the two ministers accused of misbehaviour towards women — Christian Porter and Alan Tudge — the program and the ABC were subjected to a campaign to try to shut the story down and to claim that it was not in the public interest.
The day our story was due to be broadcast, Anderson was grilled in a Senate Budget Estimates hearing by Liberal Senators about whether it was in the public interest. Although journalists Samantha Maiden and Lisa Wilkinson spoke repeatedly with Prime Ministerial staff in the days before Brittany Higgins' allegations, the PM says his staff never told him.
When I put this to the staffer who made the fourth allegation about Ms Higgins' alleged rapist yesterday, she guffawed.
That interview on The Project was very difficult to watch. Shameful behaviour!
Im not very pc but if you work at parliament house you should be held to the highest standards. Full stop. Higher then any sports players, media cartels or business circles. Not just the elected but staffers too.
So what are these Liberal women going to do about it? Not much I bet.
If everyone is aware of a problem and so many women were hurt why oh why has no-one spoken til now. So many may not have been hurt.... I don't get it.
Yet the ABC ran protection for Bill Shorten when there was an accusation of rape and a police investigation into the former leader of the ALP!
Not just in politics
Cash another liar & hypocrite
The public are sick of hearing about all these issues distracting from good government ?
Equality does not come with make-up and heels.
So why have the women not spoken out before now
MSMWatchdog2013 ... most of whom will go out at the very next auspol election and dutifully vote for the party responsible for all this and which has hopelessly trashed this country for years through ignorance, anti-intellectualism, incompetence and corruption
And stop thinking this is political stuff. Its scross the board, everywhere. Culturally, from a buttoned up morally forbidding culture we have gone to a licentious, dammed if you do, dammed if you dont, and just wear it if you want to succeed. Equality in relations would help.
Or another headline: 'ALP staff are staying quiet on sex assault allegations because they don't want to harm the party's chances at the upcoming election.'
ABC is inciting mass hysteria just like Donald Trump. Being the Judge and Jury is wrongful and will lead to the detest of this media platform even more. Female dominated workplaces are exactly the same towards men. Sexist attitudes abound.
So its time you uncovered the covert behaviour which has been the norm for years & start discussing it as something which has become a cultural norm instead of celebrating it as unusual or exceptional. The ceaseless desire to be seen as a celebrity really disgusts. Its everywhere
How come the ABC never talks about the Labor Parties treatment of Ms Sherriff after she accused billshortenmp of sexual assault.
There should be an inquiry into this. They should get Labours pretend leader Shorten to head it. And he can start on himself as the first case.
'What goes on in the bubble, stays in the bubble', eh?
Lisa_Wilkinson Milliganreports theprojecttv thepmo ScottMorrisonMP AlboMP brittneyhiggins auspol Scomo
It seems Michaelia Cash Linda Reynolds and all the other women sitting in Parliament for the Liberal National Parties are an exception to this anger as are nearly all the women who work for Rupert Murdoch Why is that?
'The handful of Labor women who are also alleging privately to me that they have been victimised are also staying schtum. Their reasons include that they don't want to damage their side's chances at the next election.' Shhhhhhhhh....
jurylady5 People observing all this won't be letting it go. Women won't be silenced this time. Soon we'll be hearing the usual 'geez ok enough' that men use to control the conversation. Won't wash this time.
Scotty: Corrupt Incompetent Rapist Protector
First time I've realised samanthamaiden & Lisa Wilkinson made inquiries of PMO (days?) before the date ScottyFromPhotoOps claims he 1st heard about Ms Higgins' allegations. Is ScottMorrisonMP saying his office did not tell him immediately of high level media interest? Come on.
You have to act collectively or it means nothing sadly. Follow the Icelandic example go on strike until things change
Again another story about women in Parliament. Don’t we think enough is enough. Why don’t we just put all males in jail and throw the key away. Some women’s movements make out that every man on the planet are bastards ! I think I was an ok boss and husband.
My sister was held against her will and raped after a night out, it took me a long time for me to convince her to report it, she felt guilty that some how it was her fault which it wasnt, it was even televised trying to find the man, yrs later they got him, she couldnt persue it
And among women in general.
This appears to be a leftist feminist attack on a very popular sitting Prime Minister. The left are scared that they are facing another 3 years in opposition.

There is a huge untapped fury among women. Period.
Speak up you're intelligent!!
