Gavin Michael Higgs, 33, receives a 12-month community order in the Rockingham Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct for threatening to kill WA Premier Mark McGowan.

A man who drunkenly threatened to kill the West Australian Premier Mark McGowan while his wife and children hid inside their family home has avoided spending any more time behind bars.

He was arrested a short time later and, in an interview with police, apologised for what he had done. The duty lawyer who represented Higgs today said he had made no attempt to enter the McGowan property and walked off down the road of his volition. The court was told while Higgs had been released on bail, he had been taken back into custody a couple of days ago because he had breached his curfew to visit his terminally ill father, who had since died.

She also took into account the length of time Higgs had spent in custody in deciding that a 12-month, community-based order was appropriate.

How long until One Nation ask him to be a local candidate?

'My life is at an end': Brian hopes to be among the first in WA to choose when and how to dieBrian's terminal mesothelioma diagnosis means he's had to give up the things he loves, and he's keen to become one of the first people in WA to exercise his right to voluntary assisted dying when the laws are enacted next month. If ppl are being forced into experimental vaccines, surely the right to use euthanasia should be an option for end of life!! What happened to dignity This story is so sad for many reasons.Sending love to Brian. Voluntary assisted death for cancer sounds good, but from the similar deaths I’ve watched, including my dad, as soon as that pain goes up too much, they already dial up that morphine & other “calming” drugs and end you.
