QandA He was misinformed but that’s not unusual for the people who ask questions in QandA auspol

QandA Hey Marco. You can vote next year. Spread the word buddy, never vote LNP. I think you know that already but let your friends know as well. Consider SustainableAustralia for your future. QandA

Gotta watch on iView, I went to sleep waiting for it to come on, woke up when it was well and truly over.

Rosie310501 Marco StudentProtests Marco was great, clearly the stand out for the night. Why would SMH write that because he participated in a protest he was a potential for the dole queue? Marco is a smart articulate young man. One of our many future voters & leaders.

Governments of all political persuasions better listen up This is Australia speaking We can't keep on this track of apathy in relation to SERIOUS action to overcome climate change We're handing poisoned chalice to the kids & whatever generations survive without drastic action

TheBigShip our hope for the future - good on that young man - such wisdom QandA

The government is quick to use our children and grand children as reasons why we should not saddle them with debt for the future. No such concerns about leaving them a stuffed planet on which the least of their worries will be debt. They'll be lucky if they can breath

Brilliant - this young man will make a difference as he gets older. I was going to say “matures” but he showed more maturity than a lot of adults.

Kids dont understand the trade offs required to balance emissions reductions with economics. Its politically fraught. Labor lost power due to the carbon tax. Turnbull lost the PM gig because of energy policy. Kids think its easy. They havent met the real world yet.

QandA No wonder they went on strike! The presenter asked a different question to panelists regarding if the children should go on strike, the result is his question wasn’t answered QandA! When will they make policy? I call for a National strike as they are way out of touch with us!

Apologies Marco for the arrogant, dismissive and disrespectful response from our hugely dis functional and out of touch government. They will go to political purgatory for this.

Well & Truly BRAINWASHED

QandA I don't blame kids for taking a stand when the government has given up on things like the national energy garrantee. The LNP has been forced into inaction by the reactionary conservatives who still think the world is flat.

QandA amandavanstone lied on QandA saying that emissions are coming down. WRONG, govt figures released last week show record increase in emissions under the Coal Party’s watch. ClimateChange CO2 ActOnClimate globalwarming IPCC emissions

Good on these kids. When the grownups fail to protect them they are prepared to fight for their own survival. These students are the hope of the future. Sadly the current political class will go down in history like Nero - fiddling while Rome burned. Lets hope it is not too late.

Nah, just another left wing fruitcake talking nonsense.

This young person is our new spokesperson for the future. I predict we’re going to hear a lot more from him from now on, and regular Australians will come to embrace him as a member of their families. Much like Ray Martin.

Doesn’t take much to steal the show at ABC these days!

QandA It's Q&A, it's literally a show where narcissists hang shit on each other and fight for the spotlight. The only thing that's being stolen is tax payer money funding the rubbish. 😏

Look kid it 12 years to allow gay married to happen in Australia. Rudd 2007 was wanted a super tax on mining industry Labour party had a coup and kicked out Rudd. Abbott wants to be PM again. The media should inform the public about our planet.

I respect he has a view and stands up for it. I don’t agree in his view, however, I find it disturbing the abuse I read when people disagree with a view. Too many attack the person and not the argument

The left are suckers for an 'I believe that children are our future' moment...they fall for it every time ..those feels...

QandA Isn't it great to the youth of Australia and the World step up and voice their concerns for current and future generations to enjoy a healthy planet. Politicians heed their voice, they are next years voters.

They may well be left, as a generation, with the Carnarvan option: never get a job and ALL of them get on the dole simultaneously as their last form of protest. It takes courage to opt-out and protest where it will count. Who needs a job when there is no future?

QandA I’m glad he said what we are all thinking : “I don’t believe that politicians care”. They don’t. They are temporary, they are climate change deniers, they only believe in coal, as Morrison showed us in the HoR.

Sorry I missed it! Usually watch Politicians need to be held to account for their actions & inactions by any citizen capable of asking an intelligent question regardless of age

QandA No, no, no, the great Billy Bragg stole the show! You may be referring to his dedication of the song to this boy, but I so wanted 'Waiting for the Great Leap Forward'.

QandA The brainwashing is real.

QandA He was wonderful!

I agree that the government has not done their fair share in respect to multiple serious environmental concerns (not just global warming). However to leave it up to the government i feel is narrow minded. Global warming is as much cultural as it is a government issue more so even

QandA 17 I thought he was about 12. No wonder he was so well spoken and articulate. Still, he made very good points and even had the honour of the wonderful billybragg dedicating a song to him. Good luck to the lad QandA

I agree that the government has not done their fair share in respect to multiple serious environmental concerns (not just global warming). However to leave it up to the government i feel is narrow minded. Global is as much cultural as it is a legal issue, more so even.

QandA Geez I though he was 11

QandA

The kid has little to worry about .. in my day as school kids we practice drill for when the nuclear bombs would fall ..

QandA Good on him, Urge all children to find there rebellious streak to continue finding creative ways to highlight the hypocrisy of politicians who continuously repeat false talking points. Jointherebellion

THE HAIR

toninicho SMH why bother posting ..? In an age when MSM are being overwhelmed by social and independent Media, putting a paywall barrier, combined with the reality that once exposed to independent Media offerings without the self interest baggage, few bother to return

And soon it will be his right to vote.

That's a boy?

I tip my hat to Marco Bellemo.

I still do not know what they want. Is it increase renewable energy. Or decrease emissions Or decrease coal generation More investment in renewables More subsidies in renewables All of the above, give details. Next time protest after school, they will get more support.

I tip my hat to Marco Bellimo.

The Kid Made lindareynoldswa & amandavanstone look Stupid(NotHard) PetulantPrivileged auspol

Would not be hard to steal the show in a Q&A audience. The bar is set pretty low.

heyjimmy299 The best and most intelligent question of the night. Well done that lad.

He was fabulous and billybragg dedicated his song, about climate change, to this switched on young man.👏👏

Proof how bad the program is

I believe whatever the media does is just got TRP..... Every thing is doctored or scripted.

YaThinkN Linda lindareynoldswa started with bloody mooney and a job and didnt address what he was saying. Rude

Well, we have seen this wisdom from youth in the past. Some have even made to the parliament in their adulthood, but situation remains the same in the present 😀

From Facebook......think about it.

'I'm demanding politicians do the things that our teacher and the writers of our course materials and the celebrities that are telling the truth and the scientists and all the people with brains tell me are the things they should do so we can fight climate change and like yeah.'

. The wisdom of youth ... and other implacable cliches

After 17 years as a woman, this man has had enoughUntil just four months ago, Jeremy Bate was living as a 'trans woman'. Now he is angry at a system and ideology he says took advantage of him when he was his most vulnerable You either have a Y chromosome or you don't. Live with it. Just like some people are born in their opinion too short or too tall. Just live with it and find happiness naturally, don't think you can modify everything. You are lucky to be alive so appreciate it I believe the circumstances of her birth are identical to mine but I'm a happy trans woman. That very few trans woman regret surgery is well established. Sad 4 U honey. It's always easy to shift the blame when unhappy with something. Politicians have it down to a fine art - why not ask them how they handle being pissed off at the world?!

Now he has 'detransitioned', and he is angry. Incredible that you're still promoting this incredibly unethical story filled with quackery. This could do real damage to already vulnerable trans people. Have some fucking responsibility. Oh ffs After 164 years as a newspaper, this rag is now nothing but trash not worth reading

Sydney's dodgy buildings due to 17 years of inactionSeventeen years ago I uncovered the system of private certification of new buildings was a conflict of interest. It still is. Is ABCC still on holidays This is what is now happening with electricity too and it is going to get worse. Unfortunately the media doesn't report on the changes occurring in any industry that allowed us to be safe, so we the people are left with death traps. s shocking NSW gov attitude They listen to garbage fr developers People spent $900k for ea unit Big investment to buy a lemon Buying off d plan is very risky Gladys should be more proactive instead of abrogating gov's responsibility Certifiers r allowing fire cladding to pass

'Funding secured': The 17 wildest things people in tech said in 2018The last 12 months have been a confusing time for tech companies. And facing heightened public scrutiny, their bosses delivered some jaw-dropping lines. It's not the tech companies that make the tech garbage; it's the people trying to control things/people/ trends/politics/markets with it. Also; prime time television is more adult than I am allowed to be on Facebook. The world is ripe for a social network without controls.
