Sydneysiders are increasingly heeding health advice and staying home, toll road revenue shows, with Transurban reporting a 29 per cent drop on its Sydney roads.

However, heavy vehicle numbers have been more resilient through the first few weeks of the crisis - down 3 per cent in NSW and 11 per cent in Victoria - buoyed somewhat by the amount of supermarket deliveries being made.

“We think it’s more important to dedicate resources to helping those people who are in the most need ... rather than just [reduce] tolls by 5 per cent,” he said.Steven Siewert Transurban’s $3 billion NorthConnex and M5 road projects in Sydney were still on track to open in mid-2020, with construction considered an “essential activity”.“Once the restrictions were lifted in China, we started to see changes to behaviour quite quickly, much quicker on the roads than public transport,” he said.

Fuck do we have to top the up? Bet Gladys has us locked in a deal where we pay them not to use the road.

What's the bet they ask for a bail out?

Didn’t take them long to increase toll prices and bring more misery to general public who are losing some or all income. FKU transurban. Do your bit and cut prices you cnts.

1% more and they can claim the job keeper allowance ! Thrilling news !

stayhome

Maybe people are also just trying to avoid their toll roads 🤔

Shame on him. hughriminton That is seriously bad news... Contact traceability just flew out the window ... unless of course there had been great control measures in place between flights, etc Is it time for Hope and Prayer? hughriminton I can’t imagine any of them are travellers returning from oversaes which means the virus is on the luggage.
