Queensland's Department of Environment has warned residents not to feed Howard the crocodile, who is being targeted for removal.

A cheeky crocodile that continues to elude rangers in Far North Queensland has been offered a new home at Australia Zoo, if caught.Locals are not happy that a crocodile dubbed 'Howard' has been targeted for removal from its habitat by the Queensland Environment Department

The authority says that it is a problem due to the crocodile's size and location near properties at Miallo, north of Cairns Famous conservationist and owner of Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, Terri Irwin, disagrees with Howard's removal but has offered to give the animal a home if caught Howard the crocodile is being targeted for removal, after a resident complained the four-metre reptile has been spotted basking on banks near properties at Miallo, north of Cairns.

Queensland's Department of Environment has deemed the big saltie to be a"problem crocodile", due to his size and location.Elias Mansour has organised an online petition that now has 600 signatures,
