In a scenario unimaginable just seven months ago, Johnson has shelved his ambitions to roll out 5G faster than rival nations, conceded that there is a cost to ensuring national security | latikambourke

in Canberra.

"They have also seen the commencement of the removal of a service provider whose presence provided a national security threat to Great Britain." All this means a final advance cannot be ruled out when the bill is put to the House of Commons, anytime from September but the rebels should not underestimate the size of their victory.

This did not have to be a humiliation; voters don’t miss what they don’t have and a £2 billion cost several years down the track is intangible in a climate where governments are shovelling tens of billions of dollars out of the door to prop up jobs ahead of the recession.

UK reverses approval to Huawei on 5GBoris Johnson's government has banned the use of new Huawei equipment in Britain's 5G rollout from the end of the year in a stunning about-turn after the Prime Minister's green light just seven months ago Was always going to happen .. the globe is splitting down the middle getting ready for war You are allowed to 'about-turn' if you find new information that says you should. Chi-na is not our friend. I don't understand why it will take until 2027 to get Huawei out of the 5G network. Its a clear security issue, so why aren't they using emergency measures to roll back and extricate themselves?

Angry with Britain's new mask orders, Conservative voters are destroying their membership cardsBritish Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing backlash from within his own Conservative Party after his government made it mandatory for people to wear face masks while visiting shops in England. On ya PM, great Call👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️ Seems like it’s the Tories’ turn to have a loud minority of supporters go mad and stupidly self defeating in public again. Yes, BoJo is another authoritarian, which should’ve been clear in 2008, but it’s also why masks won’t be permanent: he’ll luurve facial recognition systems. The British are looking more brain dead every week. Thousands of deaths, hospitals overrun, cases rising. Wear a mask for goodness sake you fools.

That will reduce covid cases 🙃😂
