Protests continue for another day in Hong Kong, despite the government’s decision to pause the controversial extradition legislation being fought against.

Protest leaders want Chief Executive Carrie Lam to step down — and never debate the bill again — and ask for police officers to be held to account for what they see as overzealous violence against protestors on Wednesday. Ms Lam has not confirmed if she will permanently put the bill to the side.
