Merinda Park Cricket Club, which is close to the scene, held its annual general meeting last night and coach Dustin Peebles said he was shocked to hear of the grim discovery.Mr Peebles left the clubhouse about 9pm last night, other members left about 11.30pm and one mentioned seeing a car pull in about that time."I couldn’t imagine the kids and parents coming into school and finding that. It’s pretty shocking and I hope the family is all right. It took me aback.
Rangebank Primary School's note, seen by 9News, read: "Please note due to a serious incident near Rangebank PS, ALL classes will be cancelled for today. The school will be in touch. We apologise for any inconvenience." The Narre Warren SES unit arrived on scene about 8.15am and have set up marquees to help preserve the crime scene as rain is expected in the area.
