Firefighters are working to contain a dangerous wildfire near the New South Wales border, putting homes and lives in serious danger. Multiple fires are currently being monitored throughout the state, with efforts underway to assess property damage and ensure everyone's safety.

There are currently eight watch-and-act fires throughout the state, according to NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Rob Rogers.“One of those is on the border with Queensland … that saw a lot of fire activity yesterday. “We’ve got crews out this morning starting to look for properties and how many were lost and trying to make sure everybody is accounted for.
