Champagne sales globally have reached a 14-year high and iconic brand Bollinger is leading the charge in Australia with the upcoming release of its highly-acclaimed La Grande Année.

It looks like a return to the good times for the makers of the prestigious bubbles whose sales fell when COVID lockdown laws forced bars, clubs and restaurants to shut their doors for two years.

They announced a reduction in the quantity of grapes the growers would be allowed to pick and vinify from that year’s harvest. It got similar reviews also after an exclusive UK launch at The Woodspeen, a Michelin-star restaurant in a restored 19th-century farmhouse in West Berkshire. The Calabria Family Wine Group with vineyards in South Australia and NSW is importing Champagne Deutz after a three-year hiatus.The Brut Classic was structured, rich and complex with a lovely mineral undercurrent.
