Sky News host Chris Kenny has warned the Australian public there will be a “crazy summer” ahead, both in the “media and politics,” over “climate change hysteria”. KennyOnSunday

Australian economist and academic Bruce Chapman says “everybody wants to help people suffering through the appalling drought” but the Morrison Government must consider “policies that work”. Mr Chapman, who devised the Higher Education Contribution Loan Scheme for student in Australia, called on the Morrison Government to implement a 'HECS-style' loan scheme to help drought-affected farmers. “The thing about the HECS-system, which is applied to university students...

“So, in the future if you don't have the money, you don't have to pay,” he said. “When things recover, then you pay a bit more". Mr Chapman was critical of suggested government grants or loans with subsidised interest rates, as not being an effective method to help the nation’s struggling farmers.

For 50,000 years Indigenous people cared and protected this great land and in 250 years we have stuffed it up! Employ more Indigenous Rangers to once again protect the land the rivers and the oceans. MoreIndigenousRangers

Oh no, the hysteria has already started!

So the media should ignore the drought, any major bushfires, and unusual weather events? I guess you could entertain yourselves with politics and sport... and getting hysterical over people exercising their democratic right to be concerned about polution and emissions?

Climate change fact... Fixed the headline for you

Only if the Crazy Right at Sky News keep up the vitriolic crap. The rest of us are going on recreational family reinforcement leave.

Yes, I am worried about the polar bears...oh wait, what

The thing about Chris is that he’s made being wrong an art form along with speaking authoritatively about things he doesn’t actually understand.

Is the welfare safety net in place? Are changes suggested?

Declare a ClimateEmergency and ACT like there is a ClimateEmergency If you truly 'want to help people suffering through the appalling drought” because 'thoughts & prayers' don't work. they insult our intelligence auspol

Australia is 'almost obliged to give protection' to self-proclaimed spy Wang Liqiang | Sky News AustraliaFormer Labor Advisor Darrin Barnett says the government is “almost obliged to give protection” to self-proclaimed spy Wang Liqiang, despite the Daily Telegraph revealing he may have only been engaged in low level work, which would be of little use to Australia’s security agencies.\n\nAccording to senior members of the Australian Intelligence community it is “highly dubious” that Wang Liqiang, who claimed he was a high-level Chinese spy during a 60 Minutes interview, was “major player in the espionage space,” according to Sky News host and Daily Telegraph journalist Sharri Markson.\n\nMr Barnett said despite Wang's claims being seemingly debunked, Australia does have a responsibility to not send him back to China. \n\n“It is concerning if someone is using what is essentially a vexatious claim to become an Australian citizen, but we do have a sense of obligation to look after people and their humanitarian concerns,' he said. \n\nImage: Getty I don't call exposing Australian Chinese citizens trying to become treasonous Australian politicians working for China information of little use. I think the incident is being downplayed because of financial influence by China. Stop selling Australia, stop foriegn investment. Give him protection, Australia needs to stand firm in the values we believe. You can ask me to vow these values when I became a citizen while the leaders are playing with the values. Don’t be hypocrites
