King Charles III is reportedly “raring” to get back into more front-facing duties as his treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer continues, a royal expert has claimed.

A royal expert has claimed a “frustrated” King Charles III is raring to get back to front-facing duties as he continues his cancer treatment which is understandably “having an effect” on the monarch given his age.

The King began a schedule of regular treatments and was advised by doctors to postpone public facing duties. He has since been photographed only a handful of times, including for a new portrait released for his annual Easter message.“We know from his own statement, from palace sources and from what we're hearing, that he wants to get back to work as well," he told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.“But the fact that the treatments are keeping him away from front facing duty.

During his Easter message, a recording of which was played to the 2024 Royal Maundy Service on Thursday in his absence, the King expressed his “great sadness” he could not attend.“The Maundy Service has a very special place in my heart.” “But of course, he is an old man. It seems as though that maybe the treatment is having an effect on him, as it would do, as is natural.
