Harvey Norman has come up with a new initiative to keep cash flowing through the economy in Goulburn, which is a city that has been hit hard by bushfires and now the coronavirus. Harvey Norman Goulburn’s Jay David said “one of the hardest hit businesses would have been cafés and pie shops … so what we’ve done is, before our customers came into purchase any of the items in store, they’d go and buy a coffee first or a pie and then come and redeem the receipt in store.

” “And that way we took it off the purchase price.” “Just to help the local businesses, drive a bit of traffic there.” This initiative has helped local businesses, such as Bryant’s Pies which has been running since 1928. Current owner of Bryant’s Pies, Tony Neate has been running the bakery with a business partner for the last 20 years. Mr Neate said, since the new initiative was put in place, he had noticed customers asking for receipts and then heading down the road to Harvey Norman.

China doesn't interfere in Australia's internal affairs: Chinese Embassy | Sky News AustraliaChinese Embassy Deputy Head Wang Xining has claimed 'China does not interfere in Australia's internal affairs', calling on the two governments to adhere to the principles of “respect, goodwill, fairness and vision”.\n\nAddressing the National Press Club, Mr Wang said “we should respect sovereignty and integrity … we should respect each other's legal system and rule of law, and refrain from interrupting the other's legal proceedings and undertakings”.\n\n“The last thing China wants to do is to inflict on others what China suffered. Or to bully others as we were bullied,” he said.\n\nReflecting on the principle of 'goodwill', Mr Wang claimed both Australia and China needed to “embrace equality, freedom' and needed to 'uphold justice and the rule of law”.\n\nHe caveated the statement with the reminder “most importantly we both wish the other to live as aspired by choosing a methodology that we find fit and proper for ourselves”.\n\nThe Chinese spokesperson went on to highlight the mutual aid, diplomacy, trade and goodwill between the nations while equally highlighting the value of Communism over the failures of Capitalist 'consumerism'.\n\n“A fair, open, non- discriminant policy, and regulatory environment that offers strongest market predictability, financial stability and legal reliability does enormous good to our business,” he said. \n\nLooking at the final principle of ‘vision’ Mr Wang said Australia and China should look to move beyond the commercial partnership to becoming strategic partners in the Asia-Pacific region.\n\n'As China and Australia sit geographically at the two ends of this region, trade and investment between us not only generate value investment between us … but will also bring opportunities to third-party business, instill vitality in neighbouring economies,' Mr Wang said.\n\n\n Oh, okay, wasn't I a fool for thinking such a thing. Getting into bed with China. Like dating a hooker and demanding fidelity nonsense. CCP is not trustworthy. People should focus on what ccp does, not what they talk.

Australia has been hit with an appalling 'deep freeze' by communist China | Sky News AustraliaThe Australian’s Editor-at-Large Paul Kelly says the Communist Party of China has deliberately put Australia 'in the deep freeze' in what is an appalling move. \n\n'It won't contact senior Australian ministers,' Mr Kelly told Sky News host Peta Credlin. \n\n'There is no meaningful dialogue between ministers, now this is simply appalling, there is no excuse for this'. \n\nHe also said the address delivered by the senior Chinese diplomat and the Deputy Head of Mission in Australia, Wang Xining, at the National Press Club on Wednesday was an assertive and a 'defensive speech, when it comes to the criticisms of China'. \n\n'Clearly the deputy ambassador was reflecting the position of the Beijing government and we would never expect anything else'. \n\nImage: AP We aren't the only ones in the naughty corner. I see they're on the charm offensive in the EU now. NSW and Victoria create 20 news jobs 'absolutely useless to the economy' | Sky News AustraliaThe Herald Sun Business columnist Terry McCrann says the newly created jobs advertised by NSW and Victoria are “the 21st century’s version of paying people to dig holes and fill them back up again.”\n\nThe Australian’s Adam Creighton in an article in The Australian wrote about the 20 high-paid jobs advertised by NSW and Victoria requiring skills in “change, culture, transformation and strategy’, offering salaries above $3.5 million a year. \n\nMr Creighton said these jobs were ‘nonsense jobs’.\n\nMr McCrann said such jobs were “absolutely useless in terms of any real contribution to the economy.”\n\n“These jobs are advertised; they could have had a kicker – 24.8 million normal Australians do not apply,” he said. \n\n“It’s to the little elite that sits like a pimple on top of the reality of Australia and the economy overall.”\n Reminds me of the old comedy skit of Charley Farley and Piggy Malone moving a hole across the lawn. Vic laws suppressing victims of sexual assault from self-identifying are ‘absurd’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Peta Credlin has spoken with the founder of the letusspeak campaign Nina Funnell about her initiative to push back against laws in Victoria which say sexual assault victims cannot make their names public. \n\nChanges in Victorian law which say sexual assault survivors may not self-identify even after their offender has been found guilty in a court of law were passed in February.\n\n“I don’t think anyone had any idea that this had happened, including some of the courts,” Ms Funnell told Sky News host Peta Credlin.\n\n“It’s extraordinary that you would actively prohibit sexual assault survivors from being able to speak to the media under their real name once a conviction is in place and threaten them with jail time or fines.\n\n“I wouldn’t necessarily chalk this one up to malice so much as just sheer incompetence.”\n\nAnyone who may be feeling distressed can contact the following organisations for support.\n\nSANE Helpline 1800 18 72 63\n\nLifeline 131 114\n\nBeyond blue 1300 22 4636\n\nImage: Getty The hard left have ruined this state.
