Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid says Israeli security forces will 'restore calm' after a gunman shoots eight people, with victims including a pregnant woman and a man with wounds to his neck and head.

A gunman has opened fire at a bus near Jerusalem's Old City, wounding eight Israelis in a suspected Palestinian attack that comes a week after violence flared between Israel and militants in Gaza, according to police and medics.

Israeli police said forces were dispatched to the scene to investigate and security forces also pushed into the nearby Palestinian neighbourhood of Silwan while pursuing the suspected attacker.

John Howard ‘out of step’ with mainstream Republicans over TrumpRecastled CEO Kosha Gada says former prime minister John Howard is “out of step” with mainstream Republicans over his opinion of former US president Donald Trump. Ms Gada said in certain circles, Mr Howard “is revered,” and high-profile Republican families such as the Bushes, the McCains and the Cheneys value his opinion “and share it”. “If you travel in other circles such as the tens of millions of people that supported Trump in ’16 and ’20 and still do today, including Trump personally, I don’t think they’re losing a lot of sleep over the viewpoint of a former Australian prime minister,” she told Sky News host Chris Smith. “With those people, (Trump)’s support is only rising, and they would actually disagree with the prime minister and say they viewed his presidency as a win on paper. “I think he’s out of step with where the mainstream Republican voter in America sits.” Totally agree! Actually, precious few care about Loser Howard This has been going on for many years before it begun 2001 911 sept 11. I think it's the wave going to hit us hard to free us from government.
