AFL: Clayton Oliver is reportedly back in the good graces of the Melbourne Demons, with club having 'fallen back in love' with the star midfielder.

Rival Victoria n clubs are beginning to cast their eyes on a gun Saints player on the fringe, as he recommences his rise at the top level.

In a time where fit, key position players are light on in the league, his height, strength and game sense are three of many attributes pricking the ears of rival clubs in Victoria. Hayes ruptured his ACL in late April that same year, and didn’t appear in St Kilda’s senior side until Round 24 last year after a long road to recovery.

Gathering 26 disposals and eight tackles in last night’s heart-breaking one-point loss to Carlton, the inside midfielder seems to be back to his contributory ways after a hectic off-season that nearly led to the superstar leaving.“The restoration of trust between Clayton and club is absolutely complete,” Ralph said.
