Have you ever wondered why some public toilets have a gap in the seat? There’s actually a vital reason for it that changes everything.

revealed the answer for citizens of the US in a video that explained it was down to mandatory plumbing codes that made “open seats” mandatory in public bathrooms.“With one exception, there aren’t requirements for U-shaped toilet seats to be used in Australia through the National Construction Code, the national ‘standard’ for plumbing,” Master Plumbers chief executive officer Peter Daly told news.com.au.

“The U-shaped toilet seat is commonly found in public bathrooms because the gap in the front of the seat is also designed to be more hygienic for both males and females in a high-use environment,” Mr Daly said. Yep, that’s right — the gap is essentially to keep your private parts away from the seat as numerous people use it.Source:istock

CFMMEU fined $50,000 after refusing to work without female toiletThe national construction union and two of its officials have been fined $50,500 for stopping work at a $30 million apartment project in Melbourne over demands for an extra toilet and a larger shed. Do they want Victorians to wipe their arse as well? Demanding a female toilet for a female worker seems like an incredibly reasonable working request... But because this is the CFMEU, of course this will be viewed as a criminal act by outraged liberals. So can we fine our politicians for not turning up to Parliament House? There's an ongoing stop work meeting going on with ScottMorrisonMP and his cronies.

Senator pushes to strip former governor-general Peter Hollingworth of $600k-a-year entitlementsA federal senator proposes new laws that could strip former governor-general Peter Hollingworth of millions of dollars in public benefits over his mishandling of sex abuse complaints in the Anglican church. Not bad money for just greeting people with a smile and handshake. $600k a year for the last 16-years? No wonder the country can't grow. How many politicians are sucking the coffers dry... That's a lot of entitlement.
