Greater Sydney set for four week lockdown extension, construction back on

Premier Gladys Berejiklian headed a crisis cabinet meeting on Tuesday evening hours after promising to make a decision on the lockdown which had been schedule to finish up at 11:59pm on Friday.

Earlier Sky News Australia political editor Andrew Clennell exclusively revealed Ms Berejiklian is planning to announce construction sites, which have been out of action since July 19, will be able to start back up again. "Sky News can reveal that tomorrow the NSW government is expected to actually loosen some restrictions despite the COVID numbers," Mr Clennell said.

Ms Berejiklian on Tuesday morning said she would be providing an update on the lockdown on Wednesday.
