Shadow Infrastructure Minister Catherine King has questioned the government’s actions following the release of the Auditor General’s report which has shone a light on the Coalition’s action on regional jobs plan.

Shadow Infrastructure Minister Catherine King says the government needs to "answer questions" following the release of the Auditor General’s report on its regional jobs plan.

The report found major problems with how projects were funded under the Regional Jobs and Investment Packages program, which was a 2016 Coalition election commitment. "I understand the government do make decisions about this, it's a discretionary program, but when something is deemed ineligible that seems to me very unusual," the Labor MP said. Image: Getty
