Government lashes 'utterly baseless' 5G-coronavirus conspiracy theories |EXCLUSIVE

Communications Minister Paul Fletcher has condemned online misinformation linking 5G technology to the coronavirus and sounded the alarm about a growing vandalism risk to critical telecommunications infrastructure.

Mr Fletcher has responded to the growing community concerns with an emphatic declaration that the radio waves used by mobile and wireless technologies had been studied closely for decades and no harmful effects had been found."Any suggestions that there is a link between 5G and coronavirus are utterly baseless. As the Chief Medical Officer has said, 5G does not cause the coronavirus and it does not spread coronavirus," Mr Fletcher said.

Why even feel the need to respond to this idiocy

Wow. What an exclusive. Your deal with Morrison seems to be a one way street. I mean after all the glorious leader pieces in recent weeks and this is all he could offer you for an exclusive?

That makes me think there’s something to it. Government of any party these days is not acting in the interests of Australians.

Bizarre new conspiracy gaining ground during COVID-19 crisisFrom baseless concerns about 5G technology to elaborate schemes involving that bloke that made a motza out of Microsoft, the coronavirus pandemic has been fertile ground for conspiracy theorists. How is it extreme when it's the truth? Go figure... I have no problem with these 'sovereign' citizens not paying taxes and ignoring police, etc, just so long as they forgo the right to use taxpayer funded services as well, ie. Police, Public Hospitals, Fire Service, Roads, pretty much everything else ... seems fair. If you are sovereign, then go live in Jungles, you have no right to use any public property or infrastructure built by the governments. Heights of stupidity.
