New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has defended her health minister over comments interpreted by some people as suggesting residents from multicultural backgrounds don’t comply with health orders.
He also said such communities “don’t really give great consideration to what they do in terms of its impact on the rest of the community”. On the weekend, pictures of crowds at Bondi Beach in Sydney's more affluent eastern suburbs, which have lower numbers of COVID-19 cases, went viral. “As someone who comes from a very proud migrant family ... I can imagine the stresses that have been placed on households,” she said.Ms Berejiklian said part of the reason why case numbers are so high in western and southwestern Sydney is because many residents are essential workers.
“We can't stop families within our own country from reuniting. We can't stop Australians from coming home,” she said.
I am part of an ethnic community and I’m happy to confirm that they do indeed fail to comply with health orders. And by way of example another ethnic group near me have a picnic every afternoon with 20-30 adults and 50 children with no social distancing and not a mask in sight.

An easier task than defending how she has murdered hundreds with her incompetence and negligence, I'm sure.

This was a very fluffy interview. Questions pre-approved & answers rambling but planned. Gladys blabbed on about the plight of her extended family without you pointing out they are in lower north shore lockdown light.

Seriously, stop the BS. Australians don't play the race card but media and politicians love it. Not one word when Northern Beaches went into lockdown for Health reasons but when South West Sydney were asked to go into lockdown it was racist. Why do the media get away with this?
