BREAKING NSW has recorded 1,259 new local COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths as the state hits its 80 per cent first-dose vaccination milestone.

New South Wales has recorded 1,259 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths as the state reaches is 80 per cent first-dose vaccination target. That makes NSW the first state or territory to reach that milestone.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said this was an "incredible milestone given the journey we've all been on" and thanked the community for their efforts.There are now 1,241 patients with COVID-19 admitted to hospital with 234 in intensive care, 108 of whom require ventilation. The premier also announced the current curfew in place in the 12 local government areas of concern will lift on Wednesday night.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise the vaccines do not stop cases you still get it 80 percent is ridiculous it will make zero difference .

Nsw will still have the largest unvaccinated population - 20 percent of 8 million NSW in comparison to Qld 5 million - eg - stats are not good enough / numbers
