Comment: Getting poll fatigue? Five things to watch in NSW election countdown

Political campaigning is an extreme sport for a particular type of adrenalin junkie.

Labor leader Michael Daley takes a selfie with Labor candidate for Lismore, Janelle Saffin, and campaign workers on Thursday.Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Labor leader Michael Daley’s answer will be no for two reasons. First, you don’t want to signal to voters that you’re thinking about anything other than winning with an outright majority.

The problem is the Coalition is currently campaigning on the basis that we know intuitively how all the intertwined strands of good government come together. Like strong economic management. Like a prudent program of investment in top-priority projects. Like executing those plans competently. These are things that Premier Berejiklian and Co has a good case to make, particularly given the repair job that had to be done when they came to office.

For example – your local public hospital’s under pressure? "We’ll fix that by taking the money from building a fancy footy stadium for Sydney’s elite," says Labor. Your kid’s in an uncomfortable demountable classroom? "Stadiums." Rinse and repeat.

I think the government has overplayed its hand on the metros - should have spread them out across a couple of cycles. Would have been better from an employment point of view as wel.

Dump GladysB A hung parliament means legislation is negotiated by more voices. More voices increases the cost to those who would capture, for their own benefit, our democracy's regulatory outcomes. Vote Independents to the House Progressives to the Senate nswpol insiders

One thing to watch? Stadium Gladys getting kicked out of office.

I’m getting fatigued of seeing GladysB face everywhere. Vote her out please

I hear lots of advertising about how the gov is putting pressure on energy companies to lower their prices. If they did not sell the energy grid against our will then this would not be an argument! Cheaper prices - will who was being dishonest now?
