A gardener is in custody after a man was found dead and a woman suffered serious head injuries at a home north of Brisbane . A murder investigation is underway after the dead man and injured woman, both aged in their 70s, were found at the gated home in Bramston Ct in Burpengary East about 9am on Thursday.
Murder investigation at home in Burpengary East. The woman has been rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 26-year-old Boondall man, who was “on and about these premises conducting gardening work”, is being questioned by police after being arrested, Detective Inspector David Harbison said. “A dispute of some type has broken out and an altercation, and unfortunately the 70-year-old victims have been severely injured, one fatally,” he said.
