ANALYSIS: From brand new seats to Liberal crown jewels under threat, voter volatility may yield surprises in Victoria

The pair's vote is being dragged down by the views of their more conservative colleagues, especially on climate change. While there's no independent candidate, anti-Morrison sentiment is present.

Being a disrupter doesn't excuse the independents from scrutiny on a range of policies, but the fact the climate teals don't have a policy on every issue may be exactly the point of their pitch. The last seat of note is Nicholls in the north. On paper it's a safe Nationals seat, held by 20 per cent, but the retirement of footballer-turned MP Damien Drum has opened the door to a rural independent.

He's a much more traditional country independent and Nicholls neighbours Indi where Cathy McGowan won in 2013 and reshaped the way independents run.Dan Andrews driving anti-Morrison sentimentHe's visited Victoria regularly but has focused a lot more attention elsewhere and has tried for a small target strategy.
