Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington has ruled out a policy to divide North and South Queensland put forward by Katter's Australian Party. KAP pushed for a referendum to be held six months after the election to determine whether North Queensland should be split into its own state. Asked whether she would support the move – with polling showing a majority of North Queenslanders in favour – Ms Frecklington said “it is a no”.

“When I first became the leader of the Liberal National Party I stood up and I said I want to be a premier for all of Queensland. I want to bridge the divide between the south east and regional Queensland,” she said. “The best way, the best way to save North Queensland is to vote for the LNP.” Meanwhile, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has reiterated Queensland Labor will not be doing any deals with other parties ahead of the October 31 election.

Oh Dan will be disappointed, after all that talk of the “Boogie Man” today... So why do you still call it a “cluster”. Seems to me a “nothing burger” would be a better term you might be used to. Daniel Andrews delays easing of restrictions as coronavirus cluster in Melbourne's north growsPremier Daniel Andrews has announced a delay in easing coronavirus restrictions amid an outbreak in Melbourne's north. I’m hoping he’ll resign and hand himself in to the authorities for manslaughter. Why CovidSafe apps is not being used for opening up business and contact tracing? Why different business have different QR code to scan in everytime u go to different business. Why cant use the covidsafe apps just have to turn on the bluetooth right? It doesnt make sense If one in five confirmed cases leaves home then all the effort is wasted! Home quarantine means no quarantine! Putting all the confirmed cases in centralized quarantine camp and giving them sufficient subsidies is the only feasible way.
