Former Family Court chief justice Diana Bryant has revealed she was groped by a judge in the early years of her legal career as she backed calls for a federal judicial watchdog to investigate complaints against judges.

Ms Bryant said associate's positions were advertised in the Family Court and "it is really important to have a culture in the court that makes it clear that the associates are not the judge's staff". "It was easy for me to remove myself from the situation and warn other people about it, which is kind of what we did in those days," she said.
