_kathleenoco Not exactly. The calls are for SAFER ROADS everywhere, not just at that one intersection.

_kathleenoco This is an awful and unnecessary loss of a life. If it's fixable problem it should be done ASAP.

_kathleenoco It's sad, but I see cyclists daily cut in front of cars and don't signal when turning and shit. It's like they think they own the road and a car can stop within a second.

yarrabike _kathleenoco '...after a person riding a bicycle was hit and killed by a person (carelessly) driving a cement mixer.'

_kathleenoco Why isn't there a red turning arrow when the bike lantern is green? Sydney has them

_kathleenoco that picture shows 0 poles - 0 interference from the construction that would have stopped the visibility of the bike. if it is from that picture. Also - hasn't that construction been there for a while. so if you average it out. maybe if people are not careful 1-2 more deaths

_kathleenoco We shouldn’t be surprised. There are tons of unsafe intersections for trucks and containers. Last year accident on city road, and it took 10+ months for sallycapp to start changing the roads while people are almost dying.

Myki system crashes during Melbourne’s peak hourCommuters in Melbourne were treated to free public transport yesterday afternoon after the Myki system crashed. A technical glitch is believed to be behind the meltdown, which occurred at around 4:30pm. The Department of Transportation has confirmed the outage is now fixed. What lazy reporting. This couldn't be further from the truth. Commuters who had already 'tapped on' were unable to 'touch off' and were therefore charged the maximum daily rate. Hopefully this seals the fate of this lame 1970's ticketing system. JacintaAllanMP sumeyyailanbey theheraldsun 7NewsMelbourne 9NewsMelb 10NewsFirstMelb
