Victoria’s Environment Protection Authority’s inquiry into the REDcycle soft plastics recycling program has uncovered an additional four warehouses in Melbourne.

The waste regulator discovered the sites are stockpiling nearly 300 tonnes of soft plastic in the city’s northern and western suburbs.

There are now 14 confirmed sites around Victoria seven have been issued regulatory notices relating to unsafe storage of highly flammable soft plastics.
