Popular contemporary artists like Adnante and Rone have come together in Melbourne's CBD for an immersive art exhibition in a group of empty shopfronts as life in Melbourne's CBD slowly comes back to life.

After a devastating year due to the pandemic, a Melbourne arcade has been transformed into an immersive art exhibition in a bid to lure people back to the city's empty CBD.

"The arts industry has been really hurting and this was an opportunity to get eight really talented street and contemporary artists into one space, creating work together," Mr Hossack said. "I want people to start coming back to the city and learn the laneways and arcades are starting to open up again — Melbourne's art and culture scene is still growing and still thriving," Mr Hossack said. For street artist Adnate, Melbourne's lockdown restrictions meant he couldn't paint a single mural for six months — the first time he's been unable to do so in 20 years.

"To have this whole precinct taken over with art like this is something you don't get to see every single day."Artist Rone, whose pink-hued installation depicts a room "lost in time", says the arcade has its definite advantages.
