Fresh popcorn, lollies, hot dogs and plenty of social distancing: Leinster's drive-in had been closed for years, but the decision to reopen had a third of the population turn out for the first screening.

During summer the car boot was popped and stuffed with pillows for extra comfort, but in the winter the front seat was the prime position, close to the heater and the speaker that hung on the window.

Now only three are still in operation — one in the Perth suburb of Kingsley and the two others in the regional towns of Dongara and Koorda. Mr Trenfield worked on the opening and said a third of the town's population turned out for the first screening."A lot of people I spoke to had never been to a drive-in before. It was probably only the older people that actually had memories of drive-ins."

Santa's definitely coming down under - COVID or no COVIDYou better not shout, you better not cry, because Santa Claus has been given special dispensation to dodge a few border restrictions to make sure Australia&x27;s kids can celebrate Christmas properly. Much like those on super yachts Same dispensation the AFL and NRL got 😎 Only those with a negative Covid test result should be let into Australia and then they should quarantine for 14 days. It's the exceptions which will cause another wave.
