Ex-PM TurnbullMalcolm had harsh words for some in the Morrison government, the media and the coal lobby amid the growing bushfire crisis

Former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has blasted the"right wing" of the Morrison federal government for bringing down his signature energy policy, calling for it to be"reinstated now".

On Monday, a Twitter user challenged Mr Turnbull for only"calling for coherent energy policies now [he's] out of government".The former PM responded by defending his proposed National Energy Guarantee , which faced opposition in government ranks and was later ditched."It was sabotaged by the right-wing of the Coalition and their supporters in the media and coal lobby and finally abandoned by Morrison Government. It should be reinstated now.

The National Energy Guarantee was a cohérent integration of climate and energy policy. It was sabotaged by the right wing of the coalition and their supporters in the media and coal lobby and finally abandoned by Morrison Government. It should be reinstated now.The policy was intended to deal with rising energy prices as well as cutting emissions.

Mr Turnbull was later dumped as the leader and his successor Scott Morrison announced the NEG"is dead".Julie Bishop said Australia needed to show global leadership on climate change in response to the bushfire crisis"We don't have a national energy policy in this country and a national approach to climate change ... we are part of a global effort," she told the Nine Network.Malcolm Turnball during a final press conference before leaving Parliament in 2018.

TurnbullMalcolm TurnbullMalcolm has a lot to benifit from by renewable energy products seeing that he has invested a lot of money towards it.. it'll be safe to say that he may have a bias opinion or view due to his vested interest.

TurnbullMalcolm Who cares what the Turncoat says.

TurnbullMalcolm Sorry TurnbullMalcolm , I liked and respected you eventhough I am not a LNP voter. You had many good policies when you first came into office but you gave into that 'right wing' faction and caved so you could keep your position. Now we have a climate crisis and shitty internet.

TurnbullMalcolm And another playing politics. Funny also that all you see on TV now is the ADF & what they're doing.

TurnbullMalcolm Yes all of it was said in 2009 during black Saturday fires that we would face this situation but our politicians took it as a joke. Now Mr Morrison you need to recall these and take the situation seriously

The bushfire crisis has given the Government a political 'out' to its climate change problemFor those who see their future in peril, climate change action is not a divisive issue, but one of common sense. After using a video of a night time event at a SC shooting range and saying it was a fire fight in Syria along the boarder right after US troops left. WHY should we believe anything you tweet I doubt there is any political 'out' here. I think the snarling blame is only going to increase and spread and possibly several generations, Not just boomers, will be blamed for the pathetic mess we have allowed to happen. Nope!
