Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says Europe and Australia are left with an energy crisis where there is “not enough power and high prices” despite increased investments in renewable energy.

“I agree that we have an energy crisis right now in this country,” Mr Canavan told Sky News Australia.

“The Labor Party … they are blaming that crisis on the fact that the Coalition government had multiple energy policies.”“Perhaps there’s another common denominator between Europe and Australia that explains both symptoms, and that’s the investment in renewable energy. “We’ve both massively increased investment in solar and wind in Europe and Australia, and we’re left with not enough power and higher prices.”
