Sky News host Peta Credlin says the Labor government made a “knee jerk decision” to cap coal and gas prices, in a “futile attempt” to rescue their promise to cut power bills by $275.

“The whole energy mess, of course, stems from successive governments trying to run the electricity system to reduce emissions rather than to deliver affordable and reliable power,” Ms Credlin said.

“Already some companies are scaling back investment in coal and gas, the coal and gas we need to sustain our export income even if renewables could keep the lights on domestically.”

You can’t just cap coal. it’s like saying we are going to cap 10% of everyone’s coffee ☕️ Just think about the logistics of that every mine has built “rail to export” not deliver domestically. You would have to truck it, the rail infrastructure doesn’t support this model.

Alice Springs residents plead with govt to ‘help them save their town’Sky News host Peta Credlin says she heard first-hand from Alice Springs residents “just how bad” the town’s crime is, as locals plead with the territory and federal governments to “help them save their town”. “They’ve got a lot of the answers – only to date, no one is listening to them,” she said. She said part of the reason for this is the government has been “focused on a new constitutionally-entrenched Indigenous Voice to the Parliament”. “It hasn’t been listening to the Indigenous voices in Alice and elsewhere, warning that there’s a worsening disaster in remote Australia,” Ms Credlin said. Maybe segregation is the answer

‘Old-style’ left-wing Labor is ‘back in force’ after Jim Chalmers’ manifestoShadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says old-style left-wing Labor is “back in force” with Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ manifesto. “This is about putting the government at the centre of the economy, not Australians, not enterprising aspirational Australians, but the government,” Mr Taylor told Sky News host Peta Credlin. Good thing. Ummm good? Like Hawke and Keating with Medicare and Super? We now have Bowen destroying the economy, Charmers trying to introduce communism and Albanese trying to write apartheid (separation) into our constitution. With the teals cheering them on. A sweeping new Australian socialist experiment is well underway.

Jim Chalmers is trying to ‘shake things up’ with new essayThe Australian National Editor Dennis Shanahan says Jim Chalmers is trying to “shake things up” with his recent essay. “He’s put out some ideas, not enough concrete ideas and proposals,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “He’s left himself open to characterisation, mistreatment and misquoting … it’s what he should have expected given the way this 6000-word essay actually lacks real development, real practical advice.” Oh dear we are in so much trouble Chalmers is commy scum! Jimbo has never had a real job… political staffer, mp, Treasurer. Never had to balance the books, pay employees, never been an employee in any enterprise. Never made anything. This muppet is going to remake capitalism? This govt’s a dud but now it’s showing it’s true red streak.
