The Australian National Editor Dennis Shanahan says Jim Chalmers is trying to “shake things up” with his recent essay.

“He’s put out some ideas, not enough concrete ideas and proposals,” Mr Shanahan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“He’s left himself open to characterisation, mistreatment and misquoting … it’s what he should have expected given the way this 6000-word essay actually lacks real development, real practical advice.”

Jimbo has never had a real job… political staffer, mp, Treasurer. Never had to balance the books, pay employees, never been an employee in any enterprise. Never made anything. This muppet is going to remake capitalism? This govt’s a dud but now it’s showing it’s true red streak.

Chalmers is commy scum!

Oh dear we are in so much trouble

‘Pushing policy more to the left’: Jim Chalmers pens essay on Australia’s economic futureTreasurer Jim Chalmers has produced an essay which appears to discuss more about intervention and pushing the economy in directions the government wants on issues like clean energy, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. “The Australian Financial Review editorialised against this essay this morning with the rather blunt headline that ‘Chalmers' new manifesto ignores all the lessons of Hawke and Keating’, suggesting Mr Chalmers was taking up a kind of socialist agenda,” Mr Clennell said. “I do feel that generally speaking, there is a little bit of tension between Anthony Albanese and Jim Chalmers, with Chalmers pushing policy more to the left than Albanese. “There is a view in the Labor Party too that Mr Chalmers no doubt has an agenda to appeal to the Labor Party membership in order to one day get their votes for the leadership.” Of course, they're all communists at heart. They're ignorant of biggest lessons in history

Jim Chalmers ‘laying out his agenda’ in manifestoNSW Labor MP Rose Jackson says she thinks it is great that Australia has a Treasurer who has ideas and is prepared to defend his record. She said there are no secrets and Treasurer Jim Chalmers is “laying out his agenda” in his 6,000-word manifesto. “I love actually that we have politicians who have ideas and are prepared to take a little bit of time exploring them,” Ms Jackson told Sky News host Paul Murray. “As opposed to just soundbites and headlines.” Defend his record? We now have Bowen destroying the economy, Charmers trying to destroy our way of life, Albanese trying to write apartheid (separation) into our constitution and the teals cheering them on. Sad girl

The left-wing economist influencing Jim ChalmersTreasurer Jim Chalmers’ push to remake capitalism channels the ideas of progressive economist Mariana Mazzucato, who advocates government playing a leading role in investing in innovation in partnership with business. Refreshing to have a treasurer who wants to address inequality rather than accelerate it. Let’s hope they follow through. Mariana Mazzucato is brilliant. Labeling her 'left wing' is lazy and ignorant. She has great ideas about how to create 'real' value in the economy. It's not so much about big government, it's recognising the value government does add and redefining GDP and other measures.

‘Old-style’ left-wing Labor is ‘back in force’ after Jim Chalmers’ manifestoShadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says old-style left-wing Labor is “back in force” with Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ manifesto. “This is about putting the government at the centre of the economy, not Australians, not enterprising aspirational Australians, but the government,” Mr Taylor told Sky News host Peta Credlin. Good thing. Ummm good? Like Hawke and Keating with Medicare and Super? We now have Bowen destroying the economy, Charmers trying to introduce communism and Albanese trying to write apartheid (separation) into our constitution. With the teals cheering them on. A sweeping new Australian socialist experiment is well underway.

Jim Chalmers ‘laying down his credentials’ to be a Labor leaderSky News host Chris Kenny says Treasurer Jim Chalmers is laying down his credentials to be a Labor leader through his manifesto and he is softening up the country for tax increases. He said Mr Chalmers is outlining the latest iteration of Labor's “socialist manifesto”. “These people are ideological, they have an agenda to change the country forever and they plan to use their might to make sure businesses, big and small, have to play by their rules,” Mr Kenny said. “So, if they get to implement all this over say a decade, all those problems I've mentioned will get worse, not better.” We do not need tax increases, just cancel the future massive tax cuts to the rich the Liberals left. I know who Jim is. But who’s Chris? Labor: the same old shit
